Stoney creek engagement session: Leah & Kevin

6.27.19

Nice weather has been few and far between in Michigan this spring but fabulous couples have not. Luckily we are on a roll of capturing the sun while we can.

Leah and Kevin are all kinds of wonderful. We met up at Stoney Creek Metropark for a laughter-filled engagement session. This couple has an ease about them that is every photographer's dream. From strolling through a field at sunset to twirling in the forest this couple nailed it every time.

Maybe it's the way Kevin looks at her or the way Leah's face lights up with a smile (actually, it's both) that make it undeniable that this is one perfect couple. I am thrilled to be photographing your wedding day. Congrats to you both.

ann Arbor engagement session: Brianna & Andrew

6.27.19

I had so much fun getting a little lost around Ann Arbor with Brianna and Andrew. I just love a couple like them who is so casual, fun AND can do an amazing dip! Brianna was literally parallel to the ground! They did great during their engagement session and I loved what they chose to wear especially Brianna's blue dress which just made her eyes pop!

We amazingly picked a sunny day this spring so the proof is there!! Sunny days do exist everybody!! Ha, ha... Brianna and Andrew congrats and I am really looking forward to photographing your big day.

Conservatory at Matthaei Botanical Gardens: Sara & Tom

5.21.19

Conservatory at Matthaei Botanical Gardens was the perfect backdrop for Sara and Tom’s engagement session. With Michigan's crazy spring it was so nice to know we had chosen a location with both indoor and outdoor options. The daffodils were in full bloom as is the love these two share for each other. Engagement sessions get me super excited for couples weddings (as this one did) because we get to spend some time getting to know each other. Not only is this couple gorgeous (check out their incredible blue eyes) but they are such wonderful people who are so very photogenic.

I love the variety the Gardens brings and who knew that standing by a "sausage tree" could like you were on a tropical island? Maybe a precursor to a Hawaiian honeymoon? Congrats you two and I am looking forward to your big day.

Northville engagement session: Becky & Peter

12.19.18

Becky and Peter’s Engagement session was the perfect fall adventure. We started out with cider and donuts at Parameters cider mill in Northville. It was the perfect weather for snuggling and a brisk walk along the river. These two looked totally adorable! I loved the added touches of personalized mugs and cozy blanket that Becky thought to bring.
For a little variety, they did a quick change and we headed downtown for a little more formal vibe. These two made my job delightful and I cannot wait until their wedding day. Congratulations Becky and Peter.

Oakland Hills Country Club Wedding: Allison & Robert

12.5.18

Can I just tell you stunning everything from this wedding was? The Bride and Groom are so sweet, and all of the details were perfection. Allison had everything planned to a “T” and it all made for the perfect day.
The day started at the Oakland Hills Country Club with two rooms buzzing with excitement. Allison was so gorgeous in her gown and I absolutely loved her blue Manolo’s. With her grandma’s ring and her parents surrounding her, she was ready to say “I do". Robbie matched Alison’s beauty in handsomeness and wore a smile that never left his face.
Their ceremony was so elegant and personal at Kirk in the Hills. Mom’s lighting the unity candle, a friend beautifully singing, happiness in vows and a bubble and ribbon grand exit. It looked like a fairytale.
The rain held off just enough for us to get some fabulous photos outside and the next thing we knew the bride and groom were off to their reception in the coolest vintage car.
The flowers from Emerald City at the reception were nothing short of amazing. The invites from Tiffany & Co. we gorgeous, along with the cake by Holiday Market. The red, pale pink and white with gold leaves was incredible, with candles through it was very romantic. A delicious dinner, sweet and thoughtful toasts, a dessert bar for days and a packed dance floor completed their perfect day. Congrats to you both!
