Downtown Detroit engagement session: Amanda & John

4.24.19

If you live in Michigan, you know that April could bring an array of weather, so I was thrilled when Amanda+John made their way in from Seattle and we had sunshine! I didn’t say it was warm, but we had that glorious sun and that is a win! We shot downtown, beginning in Belt Alley, and I was all smiles as these two were so easy to photograph! I enjoyed walking between the buildings with the graffiti for the urban vibe, but I was so geeked when we stumbled upon the black wall of the new Shinola Hotel! These were my favorite images of the day (!), so anything beyond this was just a bonus. After an already fabulous session, we then ended on the rooftop of the Z Parking garage for a beautiful skyline shot before saying our goodbyes. I had a blast with the both of you and wish you nothing but everlasting happiness! Congratulations! xo

Ann Arbor Engagement session: Kelsey & Tommy

4.2.19

Spring is in the air, the problem is that Michigan weather does not always get the message. Luckily, Kelsey + Tommy made looking warm and in love effortless during their engagement shoot in downtown Ann Arbor. These two have the best genuine smiles and I loved their vibe with one another as we walked around campus. And what a gorgeous couple! The best part is that they are sweet both inside+out. Hard to believe their wedding day is just around the corner! I’ll be seeing you two soon! Congratulations! xo

East Lansing engagement session: Shannon & Cory

12.20.18

Shannon+Cory are super cool, so it was only fitting that we began their engagement session inside Spartan Stadium. To say they are HUGE MSU fans would be a severe understatement, so I found myself standing there smiling while watching Cory light up as he ran around the field not only with his bride-to-be, but also their sweet pup! After taking that all in, we walked around MSU’s campus, chatting away and allowing all the students to stop and pet their furry babe. It was so much fun getting to know these two and they have such a chill vibe about them, it made me super excited to shoot their wedding next year. Congrats to this amazing couple! xo

Best,
kg.

Grosse Pointe Engagement Session: Eva & Allen

11.27.18

Eva+Allen are not only super fun, but they are super sweet, too. I met them at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House for their engagement shoot and I absolutely LOVED how they dressed the part. Eva looked incredible in her form-fitting black dress and Allen so dapper in his blue sport coat. We walked around the property and I simply could not get enough of how photogenic they are! My fave part of our evening was when Allen popped the bubbly and smiles+toasts ensued. Plus, they even thought to bring me a glass — isn’t that the sweetest ever? This is going to be one heckuva wedding and I am so, so excited! Congratulations! xo

Best,
kg.

Downtown Detroit engagement session: Megan & Sean

11.5.18

I met Megan+Sean on Belle Isle for their engagement session and I adored both of them immediately. They have these warm, charismatic smiles that immediately puts you at ease. It was so fun chatting with them as we strolled around the island and they are SO easy to photograph. You can quite literally feel the love between the two of them. In fact, I kept commenting on it, as it was so obvious how happy they made each other. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding late next year! Congratulations, you two! xo

Best,
kg.
