colony club wedding: lauren & matt

8.18.16

The day started with Lauren and her bridesmaids getting ready in the most beautiful suite at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center. There was so much natural light shining through, which made things perfect us, as well as her makeup artist. Her bridesmaids looked amazing in their matching silky robes, and Lauren looked like the picture of perfection in her delicate white outfit.
Though we felt a few sprinkles early on, the weather was on our side for Lauren and Matthew’s wedding day. Their ceremony at Holy Family Church was beautiful and heartfelt. Afterwards, we stopped by the Detroit Institute of Arts for some photos of the happy couple and their bridal party before we headed to the Colony Club, where the festivities were already underway. The room looked gorgeous! Mannino's made the adorable cake, and New Creations Flower Co. did the AMAZING flowers. After their first three dances, which were performed by Matthew’s brother on vocals and guitar, we snuck outside for a few more photos with just the two of them before heading back in to enjoy the rest of the reception. Let me tell you…their friends know how to party! The dance floor was jam packed the entire evening and everyone looked like they were having a fabulous time! They ended things on a perfect note with a sparkler exit, which left everyone with smiles on their faces. Congratulations you two, your wedding day was a blast and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to capture it for you!

royal park hotel wedding: victoria & boris

7.19.16

Victoria & Boris's wedding at the Royal Park Hotel was straight out of a fairytale. Victoria started her day in a picturesque suite that was the perfect setting for her to get ready. I loved the moment that she read a letter from her soon to be Mister, and I can honestly say that there was so much love in that room for their upcoming nuptials. We did a first look along the river, and, well, Boris and Victoria made my job easy. These two are so in love, and it shows. The Royal Park is the perfect place for photos. All you have to do is walk around the hotel and there is another beautiful spot around every corner. They had the most stunning ketubah, and their ceremony, which was held in the conservatory, was absolutely perfect. Elan Events did the lovely flowers and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day and Sweet Dreams made the adorable cake. Once the reception started, the Hora quickly kicked things into high gear. I loved that we got a chance to sneak outside for some fun nighttime photos before we had to leave. Congratulations to you both Boris and Victoria! I hope you have a life full of happiness and love!

michigan stadium wedding: patti & jared

7.14.16

Patti and Jared’s wedding day is one that I won’t soon forget. There was so much love and happiness in the air as their family and friends came together to celebrate their marriage. We started off the day at the Sheraton Ann Arbor, where both Jared and Patti were getting ready. From there, we travelled to Matthaei Botanical Gardens where they were married outside in the garden in a small, intimate ceremony. Patti’s daughter was her Maid of Honor and Jared’s daughter was his “Best Woman.” It warmed my heart so much to see the love and affection not only between Patti and Jared, but between their daughters as well.

After their ceremony, we stopped by the Law Quad for some quick photos and then it was on to The Big House, where we spent some time on the field, which was pretty darn fun. I think everyone was taking selfies because, well, how often do you have the chance to take a selfie on the field of the best college stadium around? Yes, I AM totally biased…

Afterwards, we headed up to the Jack Roth Stadium Club, which overlooks the field at Michigan Stadium, for their reception. Dinner was catered by Katherine’s and was absolutely fabulous. After dinner, Patti and Jared cut their cake and then the celebration really began. Patti and Jared shared a dance with their daughters that I have a feeling left everyone, including me, a bit misty eyed. Afterwards, everyone was on the floor dancing and Patti even surprised Jared with a special dance that she and her bridesmaids performed to J. Lo’s “I Luh Ya Papi.”

I can’t say enough how special and full of love this wedding was and I wish Patti, Jared and their daughters the very best for their future together, and I’m so thankful that they allowed me to be such a special part of their day!

pine knob mansion wedding: kristin & cody

6.20.16

Kristin and Cody couldn’t have had a more perfect day for their wedding at the Pine Knob Mansion. The sun was out and there wasn’t a drop of rain to be seen. The day started with the girls at the Clarkston Makeup Studio, where Kristin had her hair done in the most stunning partial up-do. Once we got back to the Mansion, it was a whirlwind of getting ready and taking pictures before the ceremony. Kristin’s dress was stunning and beautifully detailed and her bridesmaids dresses complimented it perfectly. Cody and the guys looked sharp in their tuxes as well. They were married outside in the gazebo (which has the most amazing view!) in front of family and friends, and dinner was held inside the mansion, which was decorated with gorgeous flowers by Parsonage, and a lovely cake by Sweet and Savory. The entire room looked flawless, and I loved their invitations by Gourmet Invitations. Afterwards, friends and family relaxed and chatted on the back patio. It was such an exceptional wedding, and thanks to Laura Davis & Co. the entire day couldn't have been smoother. I was so very honored to capture the day!

Congratulations you two! Enjoy your honeymoon!
