Michigan union wedding: sue & brenton

9.27.17 - weddings by Kristin G.

I had met Sue+Brenton just days prior to their wedding date when we got together to shoot their engagement portraits and while I adored them then, I simply could not get enough of them and their super fun family+friends the day of the wedding! Sue looked so beautiful the moment she donned her wedding gown and I loved the asymmetrical layers that made this dress so unique. By this point, I’m sure you all know that I am totally biased when it comes to the first look and their private first moments together were some of my favorites of the day! I love when the groom sees his bride for the first time and has the opportunity to step back, look at her, pull her close and tell her how beautiful she is and that is exactly what Brenton did when he saw Sue. Portraits continued with the wedding party outside The Big House and then it was over to The Michigan Union for both the ceremony and reception. These two had plenty of friends attending their wedding at their alma mater and I had to chuckle when Brenton made his way down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony amongst the hooting and hollering of his friends. A close friend of theirs officiated their wedding, which brought plenty of smiles and laughs throughout the very personalized service. The reception room was gorgeous with the stunning windows, beautiful décor, and cake by Trifles. Many thanks to Who's got the time for planning a beautiful celebration! The party easily got underway with the talents of Go Pro DJs who kept these two on the dance floor all night long. What a fun day! A huge congratulations to the both of you! xo
