The Henry ford museum wedding: Katelyn & peter

11.14.17 - weddings by Kristen Taylor

When a gorgeous couple holds their ceremony and reception at two of my favorite places, it makes my heart happy! We started the day at the lovely home of Katelyn’s parents for the ladies’ getting ready, and then we headed over to St. Hugo of the Hills. Not only is the light that shines into St. Hugo absolutely gorgeous, but Katelyn and Peter’s ceremony was beautiful as well. The way that he looks at her is so sweet, and they were clearly surrounded and supported by numerous close friends and family. The Henry Ford Museum always provides so many great backdrops for photos and a unique setting for a reception. Katelyn and Peter held their cocktail hour in the car court, and then they had an awesome acapella group greet their guests as they all transitioned into the reception area, which definitely got their guests ready to party. I loved the bold decor of palm leaves combined with white glowey accents by Breath of Spring. Their band, Your Generation, was super fun and felt more like a concert (in a good way). And none of it would have come together as perfectly without their incredible planner, Carolyn Hefner of The China Closet. Congratulations to this awesome couple - I know you’ll have so much fun together forever!
