Colony Club Wedding: Megan & Mitch

5.3.18 - weddings by Kristin G.

The gods must have been smiling down upon Megan + Mitch the day of their wedding because that April sun was shining and the air was finally warm. Based on the wintery weather we were experiencing the weeks before, this was nothing short of miraculous! I met Megan at the gorgeous David Whitney Building where she and Mitch were getting ready and having their first look. A stunning Megan tapped the shoulder of a very handsome Mitch and after a few clicks of the shutter with this classic duo, I knew the day was going to be stellar. We then headed over to the DIA for their portraits and I’m always so very grateful when my couples build in ample portrait time. Truthfully, I never think I get enough time with my couples as I could shoot portraits all day, but the relaxed atmosphere always keeps the mood light. This keeps my couples smiling, makes the portraits look fantastic, and these two things make me happy (hint, hint). After a moving ceremony at St. John's Church, it was time to get the party started at the always incredible Colony Club. Not surprisingly, the tables were decorated with classic touches, including beautiful spring florals by Floral Designs by Lori and the room looked gorgeous. I loved their tiered cake by The Jefferson Market. Megan + Mitch were all smiles, the toasts were heart-felt and Your Generation kept everyone on their feet all evening. It was a perfect day and I wish a huge congratulations to this sweet and deserving couple! xo
