Colony Club Wedding: Coreen & Corey

5.10.18 - weddings by Courtney

Once again, I was lucky enough to photograph a beautiful bride who is also one of three sisters. These brides tend to hold a special place in my heart because I inevitably envision someday when one of my girls (I have 3) gets married. I was so very touched by the love these girls have for each other. There was an undeniable joy in their eyes and love for the "number one daughter" on her wedding day.
I started the day meeting up with Coreen and the ladies at the Book Cadillac. The room was a buzz with hair, makeup and dresses. Coreen's dress fit her perfectly and I loved her bright blue shoes. She had the sweetest gift from her grandma to hold with her that day. It was a bonnet she received as an infant and when her mother "slipped a row of stitches" it turned into a beautiful hankie! What an awesome family tradition.
As we walked down for their first look I asked Coreen, "Do you think Corey will cry when he sees you?" and she replied, "oh yes! Definitely." Corey did not disappoint with his reaction as he first saw his bride. There was a dance move, an enormous "wow" and the sweetest tear rolling down his cheek. Corey looked fabulous in his suit and his brown shoes completed his look perfectly. As we took photos around the Book Cadillac of the two of them we were caught by surprise as a gust of wind took Coreen's cathedral length veil straight up from her head! It was quite amazing.
Then, it was off to the DIA for bridal party photos. The hot pink and black looked incredible against the white marble of the building. Light and bright was perfectly fitting for a spring wedding.
Their ceremony and reception was at the Colony Club and was super sweet and personal. The officiant was a close friend of theirs and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
The details they picked coordinated effortlessly with the room. Their cake by Cake Ambition looked amazing with the white frosting with brushed gold. Candles, gold accents and pops of pink flowers by Merci Beau Coup Floral, and lovely invitations by Commercial Graphics. It was all so elegant! It didn't take long for the party to be in full swing. They were announced and greeted by a very cheerful room. Speeches (one that included an impressive rap) and dinner followed by Corey's sweet tribute to his mom, as well as Brvther's Keeper (DJ) had the dance floor packed for the rest of the evening.
Congratulations Corey and Coreen.
