|One of the things I love most about photographing weddings is that I get to spend the day "behind the scenes." It is from here that I am privy to the most special moments that make each wedding day ever so special. Sometimes it’s the smallest of things that mean the most like when Jessica's dad offered her a mint shortly after their first look. Her Grandfather always carried these kinds of mints and it was a truly special way to remember him that day. There were huge smiles and a tear or two to wipe away, not just because of the mints, but because there were so many loved ones gathered and the day was off to the perfect start.
I arrived at The Henry Hotel, and the girls room was in total celebration mode. It was a room filled with joy and chaos in the very best way. Hair and makeup was just wrapping up and Jessica was ready to get into her gown. I loved her champagne dress and especially the lace coverlet she put on top. Her lace shoes and simple jewelry completed the look and she was absolutely stunning. Neil's look was completed when he first laid eyes on Jessica and had the sweetest smile on his face. He, of course, looked equally as handsome in his suit and tie. At first sight of Neil, Jessica had a smile to match.
We spent some time around the The Henry taking photos. Between the gorgeous (and huge) bouquet, this beautiful couple and fabulous venue it felt like we were shooting photos for a fashion magazine. These two absolutely rocked the photos and I could have easily spent hours with them. But, we were on to the important part of the day. There was a wonderful Ketubah signing with their family and bridal party. They had a beautiful laser cut Ketubah with the most amazing details. Then they were off to their ceremony (which was also wonderful) and from then on it was a whirlwind. Dancing started what seemed like the moment they were announced into the room and remained that way the rest of the evening. The Henry Hotel was a stunning backdrop for the day, and they had some amazing receptions details including a wonderful tiered cake by Sweet Heather Anne, and florals by Parsonage Events. Party Assurance did a fabulous job at helping the day flow perfectly. It was a wonderful celebration of a fantastic couple. Congratulations Jessica and Neil. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day.
