Grosse Pointe Yacht Club Wedding: Erin & Seth

8.15.18 - weddings by Kristen Taylor

I have been looking forward to Erin and Seth’s wedding day ever since I photographed their engagement session this past spring. If you read my previous blog post, you know that it was a family affair, and that I thoroughly enjoyed having the couple’s parents and siblings along for the photoshoot. They are the simply the sweetest group of people.

Thus, it was no surprise that Erin and Seth’s grand affair was nothing short of perfection. To me, the event had a bit of a 1920’s vibe- from the setting, to the colors, to the choice of wardrobe. Erin’s gown was simply stunning- I’m still gushing over the fabric. Meanwhile, Seth and his groomsmen looked extremely dapper in their navy and black tuxes. (My favorite color combination!)

They chose the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club as the backdrop for their event as Erin grew up in the area. Thus, not only was it an idyllic setting to host and celebrate their nuptials, but the location also held significance for the beautiful bride!

It was the perfect venue choice- a lovely setting for beautiful wedding photos. I simply loved the tree-lined drive for both couple and bridal party images. And, with the addition of a luxury, antique Packard, the couple’s photos were both amazing AND unique!

The reception room was very elegant- I loved the navy and gold touches throughout the room! Their stunning cake was by Hodell's Cake Shop, and beautiful florals by Victoria's Garden. It was a fantastic event, and I can’t say enough about this sweet couple and their group of family and friends. They made our team’s job an easy one, and we all so very much enjoyed watching the love and happiness of the day.

I am wishing Erin and Seth a lifetime of contentment, and just know that they have many wonderful years ahead of them!
