the filmore wedding: lora & michael

5.23.17 - weddings by Courtney

When I arrived at the Greektown Casino and joined the ladies in their room I saw Lora looking as beautiful as ever. I quickly photographed her dress and shoes so we could get Lora dressed....she was ready to see her man! As soon as she threw her arms around Mike they both were beaming with excitement. Lora and Mike's wedding day had officially begun.
The entire bridal party looked super elegant outside the back of the DIA. I loved how the soft pink dresses and dark suits looked against the white marble and gold doors. We then stopped off at Comerica Park and Ford Field for some more casual shots. These locations gave us some great "Detroit wedding" photos.
When we arrived at the Filmore I was not prepared for how stunning the inside would be. As we walked inside and caught a first glimpse of the stage (where the ceremony was held) I heard more than a few people exclaim, "oh wow!" (including myself). The stage was draped with beautiful white curtains, gorgeous flowers and chandeliers. Gold chiavari chairs were lined up facing the stage and once the guests and bridal party filled the theatre it was romantic perfection!
Post ceremony the guests went out to the lobby to enjoy cocktails, and the amazing staff completely flipped the theater for the reception. Guests were seated on four levels which was a simple gorgeous cascade of candlelight and flowers that led to the dance floor. The sweets table by Yasmeena's Floral looked absolutely stunning against the floral wall, and cake by Holiday Market. We loved working with The Gala House, and Lightcraft Entertainment on video. The dj and violinists Nuclassica rocked the night away for a truly awesome celebration of Lora and Mike's wedding day.
Congratulations to you both.
