Birmingham engagement session: Jill & Mason

The Holiday season is a great time for an engagement session with the extra decorations you can find around town. Birmingham had an amazing tree, Anthropology a fabulous window display and Oakland Hills Country Club beautiful garland. With that and another fabulous couple this session was a photographer’s dream.

Jill and Mason were absolutely wonderful. A great couple who when you meet them you immediately feel how happy they are together. I love that they brought their beautiful fur baby to be included in part of their session. Congrats to you both, I am looking forward to next December!!

Detroit engagement session: Haley & Derek

I had the joy of photographing Haley and Derek’s engagement session while they were back in town for Christmas. Downtown Detroit was all decorated and made for a super lovely setting. I loved that Haley and Derek wanted some pics wearing coats and were also brave enough to tough out the cold without them. They were awesome and super adorable.

We got to check out some “new to me” spots like Parker’s Alley and the Markets and I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with them. Often grooms arn’t at the initial meeting and it’s always great to get to know couples a little more before their big day.

I’m looking forward to warmer weather and this fabulous couple’s wedding.

Birmingham Engagement Session: Kimberly & Michael

The wildlife was out in full force to help celebrate this animal loving couple's engagement session and it couldn't have been a better sign that Kimberly and Michael are meant to be. We literally were chatting about animals appearing and no sooner out came the ducks, squirrels and even a photo bomb by some deer!

Their session was perfection, well minus those fluttery butterflies, lol (Kimberly is not a fan). But, in all seriousness Kimberly and Michael were so much fun to spend the evening with. We had a lovely stroll through the woods in Booth Park and got some variety in the streets of Birmingham. I adore couples that laugh and look at each other the way these two do.

Congrats to you both and I am excited to capture your wedding day.

Stoney creek engagement session: Leah & Kevin

Nice weather has been few and far between in Michigan this spring but fabulous couples have not. Luckily we are on a roll of capturing the sun while we can.

Leah and Kevin are all kinds of wonderful. We met up at Stoney Creek Metropark for a laughter-filled engagement session. This couple has an ease about them that is every photographer's dream. From strolling through a field at sunset to twirling in the forest this couple nailed it every time.

Maybe it's the way Kevin looks at her or the way Leah's face lights up with a smile (actually, it's both) that make it undeniable that this is one perfect couple. I am thrilled to be photographing your wedding day. Congrats to you both.

ann Arbor engagement session: Brianna & Andrew

I had so much fun getting a little lost around Ann Arbor with Brianna and Andrew. I just love a couple like them who is so casual, fun AND can do an amazing dip! Brianna was literally parallel to the ground! They did great during their engagement session and I loved what they chose to wear especially Brianna's blue dress which just made her eyes pop!

We amazingly picked a sunny day this spring so the proof is there!! Sunny days do exist everybody!! Ha, ha... Brianna and Andrew congrats and I am really looking forward to photographing your big day.
