addison oaks wedding: amanda & kevin

Amanda and Kevin simply have a way with one another. You could see their eyes light up when they locked eyes during their first look. Kevin was overcome with pure happiness, and Amanda had the biggest grin on her face and got a little choked up seeing her soon-to-be mister all dressed up in his tux. Kevin and Amanda celebrated their wedding at Addison Oaks in Leonard, MI, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a mid-November wedding. It was an unusually warm 73 degrees and the sun was out in full force. Amanda looked absolutely gorgeous in a striking backless gown, and I loved her bouquet by Viviano's! We took pictures outside in the courtyard and down by the river before heading inside for their intimate ceremony. Their reception was overflowing with beautiful gold and red accents that truly made the room pop. After a few heartfelt speeches and a blessing, their guests were treated to an elaborate buffet that I can guarantee left no one hungry. The first dances were lovely and so full of love and warmth, and then their DJ turned things up a notch and kept everyone on the dance floor until the end of the evening. Congratulations to you both!

noah's wedding: irma & jas

Irma and Jas had a multi-day wedding celebration with friends and family that had travelled to Michigan from all over the world, including France, India, and California. They started their day at Noah's in Auburn Hills, and I had to smile as soon as I walked into Irma’s suite. This bride and her bridesmaids were so relaxed, and they had everything all set and ready to go for me to start photographing the details. After getting ready, Irma shared an intimate first look with Jas, and from there we went across the street to Oakland University for some bridal party photos. The ceremony arbor and the centerpieces were absolutely stunning, and I couldn't help but smile as they tied the knot. Their reception room was glowing with candles, and I loved their theme of "Starry Night." Irma and Jas made quite the unique grand entrance, and their reception was the perfect celebration of love and family. I loved their blue cake by Sweet Dreams and flowers by Christopher Marcs Designs. The night ended perfectly with a fun sparkler send off. The following day Irma, Jas, and their bridal party wore their traditional Indian wedding outfits and we made a few stops around Detroit to the Fox Theater and Michigan Central Station for some post-wedding portraits. I absolutely loved the stark contrast between their clothing and the urban look and feel of the train station. It truly made for some stunning portraits! Thank you so much, Irma and Jas, for such a wonderful time and allowing me capture your wedding. I loved getting to know you both, and your friends and family were absolutely charming! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love!

penna's of sterling wedding: gina & steve

Gina and Steve’s wedding day was a blast. Their easygoing and fun personalities made my job so easy, and I have to say that they had some of the most helpful and kind bridesmaids and groomsmen that I’ve ever seen! I started off the day with the girls. Gina looked amazing in her wedding dress and the sequined bridesmaids dresses were the perfect compliment to it. They had a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony at St. Therese of Lisieux in Utica, and afterwards we headed to Dodge Park for photos. We caught the light at the perfect time and got some AMAZING shots of this beautiful couple. Their reception at Penna's of Sterling was decorated to perfection with the help of Wafa's Flowers, and their wedding cake and cupcakes, made by Living Breathing Baking, were as delicious as they looked! Music Box Productions kept the dance floor packed all evening and before I knew it, it was time head home. Congratulations on your wedding guys! It was such a fun day filed with so much love and I'm so thrilled to have been able to capture it!

westin southfield wedding: becca & kurt

I could feel the happiness and excitement as soon as I walked into the suite at the Westin Southfield where Becca and her girls were getting ready. There was a ton of laughter and smiles, and this group was on top of things and ready for the celebration to begin. I have to say, Becca looked absolutely amazing in her wedding dress! From there, we headed to the beautiful atrium for Becca and Kurt's first look, and the smile on Kurt’s face the first time he laid eyes on her was one for the books! It was the sweetest thing. I learned quickly during their engagement session that these two are it. They simply get each other, and you can tell that they were meant to be together. As the ceremony approached, the atrium was transformed into what felt like a lush green garden. They had the single most stunning chuppa that I have ever seen, surrounded by an array of perfectly bloomed flowers and greenery. After a heartfelt ceremony, the real party finally began! I loved the look of their reception with incredible florals by Made Floral, and the most adorable cake by Sweet Heather Anne. I also can't get over the super unique invitations done by Jordan Sondler. After an amazing dinner, the guests were treated to the traditional first dances and of course, the hora, which got everyone on the dance floor. The energy in the room was so rich with love and celebration, and it was such an honor to capture this couple's day. As always, it was a pleasure to work with Pat from Party Assurance. Congrats Becca and Kurt! I’m so happy for you guys!

the madison wedding: melissa & adam

I met Melissa and Adam on their wedding day shortly before their ceremony at St. Stephen in New Boston. Melissa and her girls were the picture of perfection. Not only did Melissa look stunning, but her bridesmaids looked fantastic in their dresses as well. I chatted with them for a few minutes while taking some pre-ceremony photos and before I knew it, it was time to start the ceremony! Afterwards, we headed to Downtown Detroit for some fun photos at the DIA and Belt Alley. Let me tell you, Melissa, Adam and their bridal party rocked it! Their reception at The Madison had this great loft type feel to it, and Megan with Brindle + Oak had every gorgeous detail taken care of. I loved their florals by Silk Thumb , and cake by Cakes by Stephanie. After dinner, everyone moved to the rooftop patio for dancing just as the sun was starting to set over the city. I think it's safe to say the ambiance was pretty perfect! Everyone was having a blast on the dance floor and socializing around the fire (yeah, there’s even a fireplace on the rooftop!). Melissa & Adam, I was so honored to be a part of your wedding day, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
